Yup, just as the title said, I'm going back to Alaska!!! 
I'm not moving there...yet...it's just a visit. I grew up there most of my life before we moved way, way, waaayyyy down south but I've always wanted to go back home. I'm leaving the last week of July and will be there for two weeks. I'm just so super excited right now. When I get back, expect photos of the Eagles of Homer (I really hope to photograph a bear too but we'll see, I really hope to get moose at least) and the breath taking scenery of Hatcher's Pass. I know it's still two months away but I'm practically bouncing in my seat and checking air fairs. I hope to come back with epic stuff when I return 
Also, as for the contest, we're getting there! We're slowly working on getting our info all put together but it's getting close so keep an eye out!
Now back to work on catching up with all the artwork I've fallen behind on during the time family was here and my PC wasn't up to handling running painting programs

My cord came in today! 
It was much sooner than what I was expecting and a good thing too! I'm back on art now and going to crack down on those commissions now that my PC's back in full health. My other cord could only sustain my battery life and I actually lost a few points of charge a day with it plugged in 24/7 so thank goodness this overpriced hunk of wire came quickly. END OF EDIT

Well, my power cord died today and no matter how much I turn or twist my cord around I can't get it going again (it broke up near near the jack from bending)
I'm using a cheapo charger I had bought a while ago when my first one started going out but this one doesn't have enough power to support running GIMP or even SAI. They lag so badly it's incredibly frustrating because of such little power getting to it. I broke down in dished out the 70 bucks for a new cord
because my system isn't that popular and replacements for it is so ridiculously limited, so that should be getting here some time next week. Until then, unless I can miraculously get my other cord to work in the meantime, art is a no go T.T I guess expect some traditional in that time and I'll get back to your commissions ASAP the moment I get my new adapter. There's just going to be a little delay on them, sorry! Electronics are wonderful until they start breaking..... END OF EDIT 2

Hello! *AJ333 and I will be holding a joint contest! Just a head's up to keep an eye out for more info around the end of next month. We have gathered a great cast of characters for this with bonus challenges and it's going to be epic. We've been planning this for months
Also in other news, the art book is go! I finally found a company that will print it reasonably so hopefully by the end of August, I'll have it done and open for pre-orders. It's going to be full of exclusive artwork that won't be found anywhere else and won't be submitted to DA (unless you tag one of my livestreams when I say I'll be working on art book illustrations) but will upload a few teasers and preview so you can get an idea of what you're buying. There might be a few other perks that'll go along with a limited edition but I won't know for sure until it gets closer to being done. So keep an eye out in the next few months for an update!

I've only seen icy pictures and snow covered forests
And must be fun, yet a bit weird to be there again
The way you describe it, it definately sparks my imagination: Thinking of a big mansion in the middle of the forest near a lake on a hot summers day. (probably wasn't a huge mansion, right? XD)
The temperatures also seem very comfortable
Not the stereotype that I've always seen in magazines and movies
Then again, they rarely show you how it really is XD
Lol yeah, winter is beautiful there, and it does last 9 months, but it's just as gorgeous in the summer. This is my place back in AK and the reason everyone there knows you do NOT walk under the eves of houses, it's a good way to get killed XD [link]

It does seem long and very cold but it definately has something very appealing as well
Being stuck due to the huge amount of snow or blizzards doesn't seem all that nice though
