Drawn in my free time between projects, this is for *AJ333's contest she's going to be holding and she's been gathering refs for her characters. She only had one drawing of him and I thought he was an awesome looking character so here he is (his name is pending because she's changing it, was Grindlos but will update this info when she decides on a new name)

Anyway, I'm so proud of this one, I actually drew a manly man! lol. I never thought an older, bearded guy could be so fun. I'm so happy with how his face turned out. I actually liked the black and white of this before I colored but the color is cool too. I actually liked the kinda rough, unfinished look for this one so I didn't do much refining work as far as brush strokes go. I probably took about 15 progress shots of this.

This bad guy is the kind other villains that have nightmares about. He's that awesome

I LOVE this. Its incredible. You put SO much character into his face and posture. And the entire composition of the piece is fantastic. :la: Your soooo good. :giggle: AND THE FIRE IS EPIC.
